The Story You Told, Inc. is accepting applications for the Telling My Story Grant Program. This program provides grants to families with medically complex children for up to $200 to support families in the purchase of an item that will directly support the child in improving their quality of life.

Eligibility Requirements

  • The Telling My Story Grant is provided to families with a medically complex child for an item that will directly benefit the child.
  • Grant money for approved items will be made directly to the vendor.
    • If the cost of the approved item is greater than $200, The Story You Told will pay $200 toward the purchase of the item in the form of partial payment or reimbursement with proof of purchase.
  • Proof of diagnosis is required with the application. Proof of diagnosis must have the child’s name visible. Suggested documents include a doctor’s note, medical history summary, or an after visit summary with diagnosis listed.  
  • At this time, the child who the grant is benefitting must reside in or be treated in Pennsylvania. 
  • An application does not guarantee a grant from the program. As a small nonprofit we have access to limited resources. Grants will be awarded based on need and availability of resources. 
  • Applications will be kept active and on file for one (1) calendar year. 
  • Families may apply for support one (1) time her calendar year per medically complex child.
